Stevie received a nice email from his good friend Julie Taylor today regarding Jamboree By The Lake 2008, which will take place Labor Day Weekend. Stevie & his wife Deb are planning to attend the Jamboree this year and catch up with all their friends in the indenpendent world. They weren't able to make last years Jamboree and missed everyone very much. Will have more details as they develop.
Stevie's promoter, Rhonnie Scheuerman-RhonBob Promotions, has started something new with the 2008 promotions. Rhonnie has been attaching Mp3 files of some of Stevie's gospel songs, here's what the dj's have had to say: "Stevie Cee has a beautiful inspirational song with "He's A Lighthouse" and he sings it so fantastically. Sunday, October 7, 2007 Stevie Cee was inducted into the Maine Ole Opry here in the great State of Maine. Stevie had no idea that a committee of his piers had voted him to be one of the first inductee's into the Maine Opry. It was indeed a great honor to Stevie as he follows in the footsteps of Maine legends like Dick Curless, Slim Clark and living legend Mr.Rusty Rogers. These men have paved the way and have kept good ole country music alive! The Maine Ole Opry is an idea born 3 years ago by Joan Cole, CEO of the Pine Tree State Country Music Association. Three other gentlemen received an induction, all gentlemen are performers/songwriters who share their music around Maine. Stevie was recognized for his talent & accomplishments, for his travels to Europe, Australia and around the U.S. sharing his music. Part of the criteria was also dedication to country music and the opry, reputation and knowledge of country music, the response from the audience and how they relate to their fans and other Opry Members. The committee felt that Stevie, along with the other 3 gentlemen fit all attributes. Thank you for this great honor! I will do my best to live up to the honor. Dj Tommy Dean's-Christmas For Families, GIANT YARD SALE & Country Concert, Sunday April 6th, was a huge success. Photos in the photo gallery & story. We were saddened only a week later, April 13th when dj Tommy Dean passed away from a heart attack. Tommy was only 50 years old and had such a passion and zest for life and helping others, it just doesn't seem possible. His memorial was held on April 27 at the Legion in Trenton, over 400 people came to pay their respects to Tommy and his family. Tommy was an "angel among us" and he will be missed by many. I will miss my friend, may you rest in peace dj TommyDean. ~~
Stevie is now looking at songs to record. He will be putting out some new singles, working toward his goal of another album later in the year. The process is a slow one, but we know it will all be worth it when the new songs are released. We are also working on a new original song, idea submitted by dj Tommy Dean. This song is in the writing and re-writing process as I write this. We will keep you abreast of all the happenings.
I love what I do and the music business changes everyday, it's all in what you make of it. I thank God each day for my talent and plan to continue on my path sharing my songs and putting a smile on everyone's face. Have fun with the rest of the site.
